A House amendment that would eliminate all federal funding for the Fulbright Program could be voted on this week.

Amendment 1 to HR 8595 (#110 (Boebert) Eliminates funding for the Fulbright Program) has not been adopted, and a vote would not immediately end the Fulbright Program. However, this is a critical moment in the appropriations process and one of the most serious threats to federal funding for Fulbright in recent memory.

The Fulbright community has a narrow window to act.

As we celebrate the Fulbright Program’s 80th anniversary, we must take action now to help ensure its impact continues for generations to come.
