Please join us for the Great Raleigh Trolley Adventure! Raleigh celebrated its Bicentennial in 1992 when Dr. Candy Beal from NC State served as the city’s education consultant and wrote a book about Raleigh’s early history. On the Great Raleigh Trolley Adventure, Dr. Beal will share stories about Raleigh from its very early years to today. Landmarks that most people pass without a second glance have interesting tales behind them, and we will hear them all. Pardon us if we make a stop at Krispy Kreme to sample NC cooking!

The trolley can only hold 22 passengers, so please sign up for a space. Sorry, but children under age 8 are not allowed on this tour. If you are a current Fulbright scholar or student, or a Fulbright alumni who is a current member of the Fulbright Association, there is no cost to you for this tour. For non-members and guests, the cost is $5.00 per person, payable at the tour. Guests must also have reservations.

To make your reservation, contact Dr. Ruie Pritchard at ruie_pritchard@ncsu.edu and she will create a wait list. If you are confirmed for the tour but must cancel, PLEASE notify Dr. Pritchard so that others on the wait list may join us. Also, if you need a ride, please let Dr. Pritchard know where you are located, and she will try to provide names of those who can provide rides. If you have a car, and can provide rides, please let Dr. Pritchard know.

This program has been made possible by support from the Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
