The Fulbright Association is proud to invite you to the inaugural #StandForFulbright: Night of Champions, taking place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, with both in-person attendance in Washington, D.C. and virtual access available. This exciting new signature event is co-sponsored by the Fulbright Association, the National Capital Area Chapter, and Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, and will be hosted at Hunton’s offices in downtown D.C.

This is not just another gathering—it’s a defining moment. At a time when the Fulbright Program’s future faces new challenges, we’re calling on all supporters of international exchange to come together to celebrate our impact, defend our legacy, and ignite the momentum we need for the road ahead.

As we look toward the official move of the Fulbright Prize to Spring 2026, this year’s Night of Champions will honor outstanding individuals, organizations, and institutions who have gone above and beyond to advance the Fulbright mission. We will also shine a spotlight on inspiring youth voices, as the next generation of changemakers steps forward to lead with courage and purpose.

This event is part of our larger #StandForFulbright campaign, which calls on our community to stand up and speak out—for the future of the Fulbright Program and for the wellbeing of scholars and alumni today. With global engagement, academic diplomacy, and cross-cultural exchange all under increased pressure, the need for bold advocacy and visible unity has never been more urgent.

Your registration fuels impact. Tickets are just $19.46, in honor of Fulbright’s founding year, and all proceeds go directly to supporting the Fulbright Association’s ongoing work:

  • Urgent advocacy at the national level

  • New alumni support programs (including our Fulbright Wellness Webinar on April 29)

  • Resources for local chapters and outreach initiatives

Attendees—both in person and virtual—will be part of a dynamic evening of celebration and mobilization, followed by a reception for those joining us in D.C. Please note that in-person attendance is capped at 125 guests, and spaces are expected to fill quickly.

If you’re not yet a Fulbright Association member, this is the perfect time to join. New members who sign up during registration for this event will receive a special incentive as a token of appreciation.

Together, let’s honor those who inspire us, support the future of international education, and show the world what it means to #StandForFulbright.

Let’s rise together—see you on May 8.
